Are you stuck in the hustle and overwhelm of life? Are you stuck in “The Grind” of life? What if I told you that being in “The Grind” is a normal part of being a human being and that managing your thoughts with The Word Effect will allow you to continue to move forward despite the obstacles that come in your life. The truth is—as a human being—we all will experience “The Grind” throughout a lot of our lives. If you wait until you want to do things, you might spend most of your life waiting. It is time to discover how to plan ahead of time and get things done despite the circumstances we don’t have control of.
When we discover how to ditch willpower and put on word power—we become joyful even with “The Grind” of everyday living.
We all have the same time each day. It appears that some people are able to get more done than others but it has to do with how we manage our minds. There are lots of things in life that we might not want to always do but they are just something we do. For example, doing laundry. It is not my favorite task or even a task I really enjoy because it is always there but as I have acknowledged this, asked myself how I want to show up to doing laundry and accepted that it will always be a choice I make as long as I want to show up having clean clothes…it makes life so much easier. Acknowledge, Ask and Accept are the first three words in The Word Effect. There will always be laundry to do. That is a circumstance but it is the thoughts we choose to think that make this task or any task manageable.
Laundry is a simple example of “The Grind”. As strong moms, this time of year brings up change and though we love summer break, it is bringing on a new routine and we get to decide how to adjust. With summer break–there is still going to be laundry or dishes or things that we get to choose to still do. When we remember that everything we do and don’t do is a choice–we are better able to not suffer and find joy in our living.
In the latest podcast of The Word Effect, Episode 32 “The Grind” I share three simple ideas that will allow you to show up and be happy through the “The Grind” as a part of our lives and we can discover how to still get things done with a smile on our face.
The power found in self care, power of connection and the power to not quit are three positive and proactive tips you can put on as you go through “The Grind” of daily living.
