While it is easy to engage in a gratitude practice when things are calm and quiet, it’s quite a different challenge to focus on things to be grateful for when life gets hectic, and it’s even harder to think of them when things go wrong.

You’ve got to believe that your spark of creativity and drive to achieve will take you to where you want to go. When it comes to setting goals and meeting challenges, the first and most important key to achieving success is the belief that you, in fact, can do hard things.
There is and always will be pain that is part of life, but we can find peace, hope and strength to persevere. I believe those gifts come when we can find an eternal perspective and purpose to apply to the challenges we are facing.
As a mom, it feels like we face battles starting from the moment we wake up, to the moment we head back to sleep. As such it is very important to choose if you wish to be a part of it or not.
Whether your child is a big kid or a little kid, transitions can be tough. It might be the start of school, a new activity, or group of friends. Listen in for specific ways to support your child and calm the chaos of tough transitions.
It’s probably not the best mental attitude to have, but I always worry when things are fairly stable in our lives and going relatively smoothly. Why? Because I know “opportunities for growth” are just around the corner. Take July, for example….
I don’t know why some of us seem to be measured out more struggle and trials than others. I don’t know why life seems so cruel and unfair to some while appearing to rain floodwaters of blessings on others…But, I do know that He loves us.
