You know who they are, your better-than-a-friend soulmate who just gets you. These are the friends you hold on to and work to keep the relationship active and healthy.
Keeping score about who has done a better job at maintaining the friendship wastes your time and energy. Friendship isn’t a contest and keeping score is pointless.
Comparison leads to despair—so if all we do is compare ourselves to others–we will always lose. Surround yourself with a tribe of friends with the intent to lift yourself up, not compare and tear yourself down.
