I want to use that quote, but flip it:
“Don’t ask what your children need, ask what makes you come alive and go do it momma. Because what your kids need is a mom who has come alive.”
You were something before you were a mother. Are you still that person today? Or have you lost her in the monotony of mom life and chores and carpooling and soccer practice and dance lessons and errands and diapers and to-do lists?
I challenge you, today, and every day, to do what lights YOUR soul on fire. A momma who loves herself, and her life, is easier to love. And momma, you DESERVE to love yourself and your life. And your kids deserve a momma who’s happy.
The things that make ME come alive?
• Music • Dancing • Exercise • Proper fuel and nutrition • Reading • Cooking • Board games • Showering/getting ready and feeling beautiful • Playing outside • Walks • Stimulating conversation • Kind words from others • Serving and giving to others
What makes you come alive? Do you know?
I challenge you to find out.
Make YOUR list. Hang it where you can see it.
And do things, today, and every day that help you come ALIVE!
